Why can't I get bored? I keep recalling my kindergarten heartbreaks — the ones I'd shared chocolates with, the detention recesses, the small settlement of finding Maggi in my lunchbox. The faintest childhood memories. The friend I'd gift two chocolates to every birthday, calling it a small gesture of friendship. The tiny watch I cherished like a possession. I think about those days more than I should, and that's exactly why this column exists.
